Emergency Medical Technician Certificate

This Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate program is offered in partnership with the Denver Health Paramedic Division. The EMT 12-credit certificate program provides the knowledge and skills required to provide appropriate emergency care and transportation of patients suffering from traumatic insult/injury and/or medical nature. During the program, EMT students receive approximately 150 hours of both didactics and skills training from Denver Health paramedics who actively work in the field and will get the opportunity to learn in a high-volume, fast paced urban setting, gaining practical experience unmatched by any other EMT program in Colorado.

Students who successfully complete the program are eligible to test for the National Registry EMT (NREMT) Certification. Once NREMT certified, students can apply for the Colorado State EMT Certification.

The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). This agency may be reached at 25400 US Highway 19 North, Suite 158, Clearwater, FL 33763. Telephone: 720.210.2350. www.caahep.org.
