Community College of Denver currently offers two Associate of Applied Science degrees in human services.

Human Services Transfer Degree

The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in human services transfer degree represents the transfer-oriented associate degree for human services majors. All A.A.S. human services transfer degree coursework must be completed with a grade of C or better. The CCD human services program is accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Service Education (www.cshse.org).

Upon completion, you may transfer to Metropolitan State University of Denver's Bachelor of Science program in human services or to the University of Colorado Denver’s Bachelor of Science program in Human Development and Family Relations.

Pre-Social Work

The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in human services, pre-social work pathway represents the transfer-oriented associate degree for human services majors with an emphasis in pre-social work. Upon completion of the A.A.S. human services pre-social work, you will be prepared to transfer to Metropolitan State University of Denver's (MSU Denver) Bachelor of Science program in social work. You will be required to apply to the social work program at MSU Denver and admission is not guaranteed. This degree is also transferable to the University of Colorado Denver’s Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Relations. All A.A.S. human services transfer coursework must be completed with a grade of C or better. The CCD human services program is accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Service Education (www.cshse.org).
