Introduces the issues of race and ethnicity through the exploration of four major groups in the United States. This course explores issues of race and identity, racism and discrimination, stereotyping, prejudice, segregation, colonialism, integration, and acculturation pertaining to Americans of African, Asian, Latino, and Indigenous descent, as well as additional ethnic identities. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT 553 category.
